ifilm stars to sing in 'Tornado'

ifilm stars of 'A Gift From India' and 'Asleep and Awake' have appeared in Javad Hashemi's new cinematic project 'Tornado'.

According to a media report, besides acting in the new musical project, the Iranian actors Akbar Abdi and Kamran Tafti will sing their own parts in the flick.

Being born in 1960, Abdi is a seasoned and prolific Iranian comedian and actor who has appeared in a big number of cinema and TV projects.

He shot to fame by appearing in TV series such as ‘Boro Bia Neighborhood’ in 1982 and ‘I’m Late for School Again’ in 1986.

Abdi appeared in comedies such as ‘The Man Who Became a Mouse’, ‘The Tenants’, and ‘O’ Iran’.

His flexibility allows him to take on diverse roles such as the role of a child and middle-aged man in ‘The Magical Journey’ and a mentality-disabled boy in ‘Mother’, as well as playing roles of a man and a woman in ‘Snowman’.

'Asleep and Awake' star, Tafti, was born in 1979. He has conducted a successful career path by appearing in several Iranian films and TV series.

ifilm viewers know him from series such as 'Third Sense', 'Tabriz in Fog' and 'Michael'.

Hashemi's 'Tornado' narrates the story of four kids who go on a space travel and up there encounter some aliens.

Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Arsalan Qasemi and Elnaz Habibi are also among the cast members of the film.

Hashemi has said that the shooting stage for 'Tornado' has wrapped up and some of the music has been also composed.

He has also expressed hope for the film to be premiered during the upcoming Persian New Year.
